NBC Ghana Trust, Leader in People Benefits in Africa, in collaboration with the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, the National Pension Regulatory Authority and the Ghana Statistical Service on Thursday 12 May, 2022 held a maiden panel discussion on Reliable Retirement Planning and launched the NBC Gold Pension Plan at the Labadi Beach Hotel, Accra.

The discussions centered on:

• Government’s Policy Directions in ensuring Retirement Income Security for all workers.
• Regulatory & Administrative Provisions in maintaining Safety and Reliable Pension Benefits for contributors in Ghana.
• Statistics on the aged population 60+, their socio-demographic and economic challenges.
• Policies and Measures adopted by Service Providers in ensuring Safety and Sound Growth of Funds under management

The panelists, Hon. Bright Wireku Brobbey, Deputy Minister (Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations), Mr. Hayford Attah Krufi, The Chief Executive Officer (National Pension Regulatory Authority), Mr. Omar Siedu, Head (Demographic Statistics & SDGs Social Coordinator, Ghana) and Mr. William Asiedu Yeboah, The Chief Executive Officer (Negotiated Benefits Trust Company Limited) took turns to educate and inform members on the importance of planning for retirement and the retirement plans available to them in the pension act, Act 766.
